Smt. Mahua Bhattacharjee, our dearest dance guru is an extraordinary dance teacher, an exquisite diamond of her art style, intense and passionate, elegant yet vibrant, effortlessly spanning centuries of Kathak heritage as she choreographs different dance performances. Every fiber of her body lives and breathes dance. A consummate artiste and choreographer, a revered guru to her disciples, she combines artistry and the spirit of Kathak into an eloquent Jugalbandi.
She is “Nritya Praveen” from Prayag Sangit Samiti, Allahabad and she started her journey with Dance at the age of 3 years. She is a post graduate in Bharatnatyam from Rabindra Bharati University. She is an accomplished Kathak instructor and choreographer, she has been teaching Kathak and folk dances for over 20 years now. She is the dance teacher in Army Public School at Bangalore at present. Apart from wining many accolades in different stage shows and performances she also attended a workshop conducted by the Guru Pandit Birju Maharaj Ji at a very young age. She has been chairing as a judge at various Dance festivals and contests at national level.

Born in Bangalore, India
Prathyusha has been a passionate lover of Kathak since her college days. She has been assiduously learning this distinct classical form for nearly a decade. Her guru has been an illustrious performer Mrs. Mahua Bhattacharjee of Lucknow Gharana. Prathyusha continued attending Kathak classes even after moving to Canada in 2016. Presently residing in Brampton, Ontario, she aims to instill traditional art of Kathak to the enthusiastic learners. She had the opportunity to attend and learn from workshop by the Maharaj himself,
Pt. Birju Maharaj ji and his senior disciple Smt. Saswati Sen. It is expected that prospective learners will be abundantly benefited from Prathyusha and do extremely well.
Prathyusha is zealous in pursuing a diploma from Pracheen Kala kendra, Chandigarh. In addition, she has been giving various stage performances in India and Canada.
